Our Independence Day celebration includes some of the best fireworks viewing on San Diego Bay, and the chance to explore one of the most amazing collections of historic ships & exhibits anywhere, plus you can watch the fireworks from any one of our ships!
There are many ways to enjoy Independence Day at the Maritime Museum. Both the picnic dinner and fireworks cruise includes admission to the museum and our art exhibits. For those looking to just view the fireworks from our unique venue we offer a discounted fireworks viewing admission starting at 8:30pm, $10 for adults and $8 for children 12-3.
Snacks and beverages will be available for purchase at the Maritime Coffee Cart, and we have a cash bar on the mooring platform located directly behind the Berkeley for those 21 and over.
4th of July Picnic Dinner
The observation deck of the museums historic 1898 steam ferry Berkeley provides a spectacular view of the fireworks show over San Diego Bay and is reserved for guests participating in our delicious catered picnic dinner.
Dinner is $35 for adults and $18 for children 3-12 with two seatings to choose from (first seating 5pm-6:30pm second seating 7pm to 8:30pm).
Independence Day Picnic Dinner aboard the Berkeley features BBQ chicken, burgers, coleslaw, potato salad, ice cold watermelon & double fudge brownies for dessert!
Price includes Maritime Museum Admission for the day.
